Statement necklaces

EN - In summer I like to liven up my super-simple white t-shirts wearing a nice necklace, preferably of a bright colour like coral or turquoise, or wearing my beloved pearls necklace when I am in the mood for a ladylike style.

IT - In estate ravvivo le mie semplicissime magliette bianche indossando una bella collana (il corallo e il turchese sono così estivi!) oppure, quando ho voglia di qualcosa di classico ed estremamente raffinato, indosso le mie care perle per uno stile ladylike.

Turquoise

EN - Turquoise is a gorgeous stone, very appropriate for this season thanks to its blue and green shades reminiscent of a the sky and the sea of summer landscapes.

The turquoise jewels are sublime with a little bit of tan and they are a versatile adornment, perfect from morning to night, e.g. for a breakfast at the café in the little square of the old town centre, for a happy hour at the beach during the sunset, for a shopping stroll in the city or a relaxing stroll after dinner through winding alleys of a Mediterranean island...

IT - Il turchese è una splendida pietra, molto adatta a questa stagione grazie alle sue sfumature azzurre e verdi che ricordano il cielo e il mare dei paesaggi estivi.

Il turchese sta benissimo su una carnagione leggermente abbronzata ed è un accessorio versatile, perfetto da mattina a sera: dalla colazione al bar in piazzetta all'aperitivo in spiaggia al tramonto, dalla passeggiata di shopping in città alla passeggiata dopo cena per vicoli stretti e sinuosi di qualche meravigliosa isola del Mediterraneo...

Summer shoes

EN - Espadrilles, Bensimon and Superga are great summer shoes from the wonderful Mediterranean countries of Spain, France and Italy respectively. I love them because they are comfy, a bit tomboyish but chic at the same time. They are very pretty with a pair of shorts and perfect to enjoy a lot of summer adventures. My favourite colours are the classic white and navy blue, but there are so many fun colours to play with that I would like to have them all!

IT - Che belle le Espadrilles, le Bensimon e le Superga! Le si indossa e viene subito voglia di vivere un sacco di avventure estive! I miei colori preferiti sono i classici bianco e blu, però non mi dispiacerebbe sperimentare anche qualche altro colore o fantasia divertente. Queste calzature spagnole, francesi e italiane sono comodissime e così semplici da risultare tremendamente chic (come tutte le cose ultra-semplici del resto...).

Birdcage umbrella

EN - This spring is incredibly rainy and one of the best umbrellas shapes that I have ever tried is the birdcage one. In addition I find it very Londoner... not by chance it is the favourite model of Queen Elisabeth II!

IT -  Questa primavera è davvero piovosa e uno dei migliori tipi di ombrelli provati finora è quello a forma di "birdcage", che fa molto londinese... non a caso è il modello preferito dalla Regina Elisabetta II!

A cloudy and sunny Saturday

EN - Good morning world! What's the weather like? Let's have a look outside the window: the clouds and the sun alternate gaily... I look forward to being outside! How do I dress? Trench and sunglasses... perhaps I should take an umbrella too, the birdcage one is so pretty! First of all I need a good breakfast (croissant and cream of coffee, ça va sans dire), then I will do some grocery shopping at the market that is so enchanting with its myriad of smells, colours and voices... This Saturday is made of clouds and sun, a cloudburst and then a coffee out of doors, enjoying again the sun. Later a stroll without destination, gladdened by a talented violinist who offers some background music... Thousands of thoughts coming out messily, one thought flies towards the next sailing weekend, a wonderful activity that offers a priceless sense of lightness and freedom. It is the sunset time, my favourite time of the day, such a marvel the nearly horizontal sunbeams! I come back home and a small secret happiness grows in my heart. Thanks!

IT - Buongiorno mondo! Che tempo fa? Uno sguardo alla finestra: nuvole e sole si alternano allegramente... che voglia di uscire all'aria aperta! Come mi vesto? Trench e occhiali da sole... forse è meglio prendere anche un ombrello... quello birdcage che è così carino! Prima tappa: colazione (croissant  e crema di caffè, ça va sans dire) e poi spesa al mercato, che mi incanta sempre tanto con tutta quella miriade di odori, colori e voci. Un sabato di nuvole e sole... un acquazzone improvviso e poi il caffè con gli amici, seduti all'aperto per goderci il sole appena uscito. Una passeggiata in centro, senza meta, lasciandomi cullare dalla musica di strada. Mille pensieri che nascono disordinati ed uno in particolare vola verso il prossimo weekend di vela, attività che dona un inestimabile senso di libertà e leggerezza... È già l'ora del tramonto, la mia ora preferita... che meraviglia gli ultimi raggi – quasi orizzontali – del sole. Si rientra a casa e una piccola felicità nasce nel cuore. Grazie!

Princess Marie of Denmark, born in France, is married to Prince Joachim of Denmark, younger brother of Prince Frederik.

The two beautiful and elegant princesses, who share the same name and chestnut brown hair and eyes, not only are gifted with a refined sense of style , but have also amazing résumés.
Mary graduated  in Commerce and Law at the University of Tasmania, attended a graduate program in advertising and direct marketing and worked for Australian and global advertising agencies.
Marie studied in Switzerland, Massachusetts, earned a Bachelor of Arts in New York City and worked for many companies (including Estée Lauder) in the public relations, international marketing and advertising.
Mary and Marie are two beautiful and charming modern princesses, entirely comfortable both with a suit and a tiara!

The night

EN - It is evening and, looking out the window, I can catch sight of a big and bright full moon that matches wonderfully the myriad of lights that dress the night city as they were a glittering evening gown with sequins. While I get ready to go out (lately I like very much wearing a headband slightly on the forehead... very 1920s style), my thoughts go faster than the clock hands towards tonight, when I will be at that cosy pub with the suffused lighting and the piano bar (so Ally McBeal!). Music and night... I find myself wondering if it exists a more magical or ethereal couple than this to celebrate the beauty of life.

IT - È sera e, affacciandomi alla finestra, riesco ad intravedere una grande e luminosa luna piena che si intona splendidamente con la miriade di luci che vestono la città notturna come se fossero uno scintillante vestito da sera di paillette. Mentre mi preparo per uscire (ultimamente mi piace molto indossare una fascetta per capelli leggermente calata sulla fronte in perfetto stile anni '20), i miei pensieri corrono più veloci delle lancette dell'orologio verso la serata che sta per iniziare, in quel delizioso locale che mi piace tanto, con le luci soffuse e il piano bar (molto Ally McBeal...). Musica e notte! Mi domando se esista un connubio più magico ed etereo per celebrare la bellezza della vita.

The bob cut

EN - Since more than a year my current hairstyle has been a bob and now I really need to go to the hairdresser as soon as possible to adjust the cut. Looking for some images to bring with me to the hair salon, I have fallen in love with Milla Jovovich's haircut. She has always wonderful short haircuts, often wavy with side parting, slightly a ‘20’s style... fabulous! Another beautiful haircut that I have found is one that Halle Berry used to have some time ago and it is very simple and fashionable at the same time. I am so uncertain that I still do not know which picture I will show tomorrow to the hairdresser... Milla o Halle? I really like both!

IT - Da oltre un anno porto i capelli a caschetto e adesso ho proprio bisogno di andare al più presto dal parrucchiere per farmi aggiustare il taglio. Cercando delle immagini da portare con me, mi sono innamorata del taglio di Milla Jovovich. Lei ha sempre dei meravigliosi tagli corti, spesso ondulati con la riga di lato, un po' anni '20... stupenda! Un altro bel taglio di capelli che ho trovato è uno che Halle Berry portava qualche tempo fa, molto semplice e attuale. Sono così indecisa che non so ancora quale fotografia mostrare domani al parrucchiere... Milla o Halle? Mi piacciono molto entrambe!

Lately it is so popular that Vogue is calling it "the Chop" and others have named it "the Karlie". In addition, are not wonderful her glasses?

IT - Nell'ambito dei tagli medi con styling ondulato, sono molto carini i tagli della modella statunitense Karlie Kloss e dell'attrice Maggie Gyllenhaal (sorella maggiore del bel Jake Gyllenhaal). Il taglio di Karlie Kloss è stato definito da Vogue "the haircut of the moment" ed anche "swingy, sexy—and refreshingly easy to wear". IT - Tra i tagli medi con piega liscia, il taglio di Ashley Greene - il classico ma sempre attuale caschetto - è molto bello con il suo ciuffo corposo. Milla Jovovich invece riduce i volumi grazie ad una generosa scalatura sul davanti e più leggera dietro.

IT - Il caschetto super riccio di Sarah Jessica Parker è entrato nei libri di storia dei parrucchieri (insieme al taglio alla Rachel di Friends e a quello corto di Natalie Imbruglia). È molto bello anche il carré un po' più lungo dell'attrice Keri Russell, deliziosa protagonista del telefim Felicity.

Fuchsia

EN - Welcome spring! The days are getting brighter and the nature is gradually awakening, introducing new wonderful colours as background to our days. Now we just have to start the transition from the dark winter colours to the shining spring ones. I am going to begin right away with a fuchsia lipstick.

FR - Bienvenue printemps! Les journées sont plus lumineuses et la nature se réveille doucement et se colorie. Il ne reste plus qu'à commencer la transition des couleurs foncées d'hiver vers celles brillantes printanières. Je débute tout de suite par le rouge à lèvres, qui à partir d'aujourd'hui sera rigoureusement fuchsia.

IT - Finalmente è primavera! Le giornate sono più luminose e la natura pian piano si risveglia e si colora. Non resta che dare inizio alla transizione dai colori scuri e invernali a quelli brillanti primaverili. Io incomincio subito dal rossetto, da oggi rigorosamente fucsia.
