IT - La mia bisnonna (nata a fine '800) faceva camminare le sue figlie e le sue nipoti con un libro in testa; non farlo cadere significava aver acquisito una certa padronanza nell'andatura. Un buon portamento si riflette in schiena dritta, andatura flessuosa ma non maliziosa, falcata pulita; sono indici rivelatori anche la gestualità e la posizione delle gambe quando si sta seduti. Che si indossi la gonna o i pantaloni, il massimo della finezza è non accavallare le gambe, tenendole - ovviamente - ben chiuse. Non solo, questa posizione, dal punto di vista posturale, è pure la più indicata per anche e ginocchia... a riprova che le regole di bon-ton non vengono dalla luna ma traggono profonde motivazioni dall'esperienza. Naturalmente è possibile affermare anche il contrario: persino un sacco di patate addosso a Inès de la Fressange o Mariacarla Boscono sembrerebbe haute couture. Libri in testa a parte, il portamento è anche un qualcosa di innato, è quel quid indefinibile che completa il carisma di una personalità. È quel risultare incredibilmente affascinanti anche quando si compie l'azione più banale del mondo... come andare a buttare la spazzatura.
