EN - Catherine and Charlotte are beautiful, with long brown wavy hair, green eyes for one and blue eyes for the other. They have a slender figure and both are fond of sport and fashion as well. Catherine and Charlotte are the two young European aristocrats to be kept an eye on, because they have a lot of class  and style. One has the elegance of a British young lady, always accompanied by impeccable make-up and hair set, the other has a French chic attitude, with her distinctive messy bun. Catherine and Charlotte have two opposite stiles, but complementary by and large and both equally fascinating.

IT - Lunghi capelli castani e ondulati, occhi verdi per una e blu per l'altra, bellissime, fisico slanciato, sportive e amanti della moda, Catherine e Charlotte sono le due giovani aristocratiche europee da tenere d'occhio al momento, perché hanno stile e classe da vendere.
Con un'eleganza da “British young lady” con piega e trucco impeccabili per una e con un atteggiamento molto “French chic” con immancabile chignon disordinato per l'altra, Catherine e Charlotte hanno due stili opposti ma complementari ed entrambi ugualmente affascinanti.

Minimal baroque

 Prada Minimal Baroque sunglasses

EN - The name is an oxymoron but, unlike the most part of the oxymora that are impossible and infeasible by nature, in this case the two antithetical concepts of baroque and minimal were mixed up together in the marvellous Minimal Baroque sunglasses of Prada. They are so cool thanks to the round and big lens and thanks to the rococo curl that creates a harmonious discontinuity in the curved arm. Innovative in their originality, eccentric in their design, antithetical in their name, they are also chic.
Minimal baroque is my latest obsession.

 

IT - Il nome è un ossimoro però, a differenza della maggior parte degli ossimori che sono per natura impossibili e irrealizzabili, in questo caso i due concetti antitetici di barocco e minimalismo si sono fusi insieme concretizzandosi nei meravigliosi occhiali da sole Minimal Baroque di Prada, così cool nella loro lente tonda e grande da diva e nel ricciolo rococò che crea un'armoniosa discontinuità nell'asta curva. Innovativi nel loro essere originali, eccentrici nel design, antitetici nel nome, sono anche molto chic. 

Minimal baroque è la mia ultima ossessione.

EN - Really enchanting my latest muses of elegance!
During the celebrations of the fortieth birthday of Princess Maxima of the Netherlands (née Máxima Zorreguieta), Princess Tatiana of Greece (née Tatiana Blatnik), wonderful beside Prince Nikolaos of Greece, wore a splendid indigo gown of Andrew Gn, spring 2010 collection. The floral weaving, with impalpable petals of tulle along the neck, is very aristocratic.
Charlotte Casiraghi, invited at a Cocktail Party during the Venice Biennial, was classy and simple with an asymmetric pleated dress and the long brunette braid on the shoulder. The Crown Princess of Sweden Victoria, on the occasion of a prize-giving in Stockholm, wore a delightful blue dress of the Swedish industrial giant H&M, price just €19.95. When the low-cost fashion is wisely selected, it offers many gratifications!

IT - Davvero incantevoli le mie ultime muse di eleganza!

Durante i festeggianti per il quarantesimo compleanno della principessa Máxima dei Passi Bassi (née Máxima Zorreguieta), la principessa Tatiana di Grecia (née Tatiana Blatnik), splendida accanto al suo principe Nikolaos di Grecia, ha indossato un meraviglioso abito color indaco di Andrew Gn, collezione primavera 2010. Molto aristocratico l'intreccio floreale di impalpabili petali di tulle che salgono fino al collo.

Charlotte Casiraghi, invitata ad un Cocktail Party durante la Biennale di Venezia, era raffinata e semplice con un abito asimmetrico plissettato e la lunga treccia castana portata di lato sulla spalla.

La principessa ereditaria di Svezia Vittoria, in occasione di una premiazione a Stoccolma, ha sfoggiato un delizioso abito blu del colosso svedese H&M di soli 19,95€. Quando scelta sapientemente, la moda low-cost regala grandi soddisfazioni!

EN - Tired of studs and sequins, bored with fluorescent colours, scared by the mix & match, slightly disgusted by the animal prints... essentially I am not a lover of the excesses.

Both because of my disposition (at school the uniform was mandatory) and thanks to a higher understanding of the mechanisms of the elegance, a new (old) philosophy can now begin. Few colours will be preferred: black, white, grey, brown and light blue, until spring, when chromatic (but not conceptual) variations will be brought. No more than two colours on (black and white excepted), absolutely self-coloured. The quality will unquestionably prevail against the quantity. Only what fits to me will be worn, even if it is poles apart from from what is in fashion.

Purified from the excesses, free from the needless, I will be perhaps a little bit austere, but surely simple, linear and essential, therefore elegant. Waiting for desiring again a baroque phase (of course slightly austere).

IT - Stanca di  borchie e paillettes, annoiata dai colori fluo, terrorizzata dal mix & match, vagamente nauseata dalle stampe animalier... sostanzialmente non amante degli eccessi. 

Complice un po' la mia indole (a scuola vigeva l'obbligo della divisa) ed acquisita adesso una maggiore comprensione dei meccanismi dell'eleganza, che abbia inizio una nuova (vecchia) filosofia. Saranno privilegiati pochi colori: bianco, nero, grigio, marrone e celeste, in attesa della primavera, quando saranno apportate delle variazioni cromatiche, ma non concettuali. Addosso al massimo due colori (esclusi il bianco ed il nero), assolutamente a tinta unita. La qualità prevarrà insindacabilmente sulla quantità: meglio pochi ma buoni. Sarà indossato solo ciò che sta bene, anche se diametralmente opposto a ciò che va di moda.

Purificata dagli eccessi, libera dal superfluo, sarò forse un po' austera, ma sicuramente semplice, lineare ed essenziale, quindi elegante. Aspettando nuovamente la voglia di una fase barocca (naturalmente anch'essa leggermente austera).

La dolce vita

EN - Isn't it so glamour spending a mild autumn morning with a friend in the heart of New York City, in a nice outdoor restaurant among chatters and strolls? 

Or walking on the red carpet of the Eternal City with a friend, in a Fellini's Dolce Vita atmosphere?
And how many times don't we do the same thing? Namely coordinating the outfit, like Olivia and Bianca, who chose a total black look composed by leggings and blazer, with the latest must-have of this season: the fur waistcoat (one wears it under the blazer, the other on it).

For the  Roman Dolce Vita, instead, Beatrice chose the new black, the camel colour, while Charlotte a timeless grey.

IT - Ma quant'è glamour trascorrere una tiepida mattinata d'autunno con un'amica nel cuore di New York, tra un delizioso ristorantino all'aperto, lunghe chiacchierate e una passeggiata?
O calcare con la propria amica il red carpet della Città Eterna, immersi in un'atmosfera da Dolce Vita felliniana?
E quante volte non l'abbiamo fatto anche noi? Ovvero metterci d'accordo sul look, come Olivia e Bianca, che hanno optato per un abbigliamento total black composto da legging e blazer, insieme all'ultimo must di stagione: il gilet di pelliccia (una lo porta sotto il blazer, l'altra sopra).
Per la Dolce Vita romana, invece, Beatrice ha scelto il nuovo nero, il color cammello, mentre Charlotte un intramontabile grigio.

Elegance with fantasy

 

Here you are some updates about Monaco and surroundings.

 

On 7th June 2010, Albert, Caroline and Charlotte attended the open ceremony of the exhibition of Yinka Shonibare at Monte-Carlo, Monaco. Charlotte wore a grey dress (like her mother some time ago) with a fluo touch given by the yellow shoes. Caroline is enchanting with fantasy, thanks to an original top and colourful necklaces.

 

On 9th June 2010, Caroline attended a cocktail for the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Monte-Carlo TV Festival in Monaco. She wore a grey trench together with a grey bracelet and a grey pearl necklace.

 

On the same day, Prince Albert II of Monaco and Charlene Wittstock attended the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Monte-Carlo TV Festival at Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel, Monaco. Charlene has a beautiful evening gown, in a typically summer mood.

On 10th June 2010, Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo attended the 2010 Convivio held at Fiera Milano City, in Milan, Italy.

Among the several parties celebrated during the 63rd Annual Cannes Film Festival, one of the most interesting has been the Vanity Fair and Gucci Party Honoring Martin Scorsese, held at the Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc on May 15, 2010 in Cannes, France. The guests present were many, naturally the guest of honor Martin Scorsese, then Tim Burton, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Kate Beckinsale, Francois Pinault and Salma Hayek, Benicio del Toro, Meg Ryan, Camilla Belle, Naomi Watts, Claudia Cardinale, Juliette Binoche, Catherine Deneuve and Aishwarya Rai for the cinema's environment. For the fashion's side there were Frida Giannini, representative for Gucci (from which this party has part of its name), Naomi Campbell, the Czech model Karolina Kurkova, Christian Louboutin and Tommy Hilfiger. Other guests were Queen Noor of Jordan, Clotilde Courau, Charlotte Casiraghi, Tatiana Santo Domingo, Eugenie Niarchos, Olympia Scarry, Dasha Zhukova, Margherita Missoni, Lavinia Borromeo with John Elkann, Carlo Rossella, Ginevra Elkann, Lapo Elkann and Bianca Brandolini D'Adda.

On Sunday (16th May) there was the Monaco F1 Grand Prix in Monte-Carlo. Charlotte Casiraghi wore a casual chic outfit consisting of a classic white shirt, blue and white striped trousers, a brown Gucci Bamboo Bag coordinated with brown Gucci heels. There were also, among the others, Tatiana Santo Domingo, Beatrice Borromeo and Eugenie Niarchos.
