An Aboriginal beauty

The modeling industry is notoriously homogeneous, therefore it is a very interesting piece of news that an Aboriginal model will be on the cover of the Australian Vogue of June 2010. The Australian model in question is Samantha Harris who was born in 1990 and comes from Queensland. She has Aboriginal descent from the mother's side and German descent from the father's side. Samantha Harris is the second Aboriginal Model to land the cover of Vogue Australia, the first was Elaine Harris in September 1993, but she may really be on the path to becoming the Australia's first indigenous super model, as the fashion's experts say. She made her first debut for Vogue in the edition of March 2010, wearing the Italian brand Miu Miu. For the edition of June, in which she will be on the cover, she will wear a Pucci's yellow gown. During the Australian Fashion Week 2010 she featured prominently, appearing in a record number of shows. In March last year she moved to Sydney but she will look into furthering her career in America, with a move to New York later this year.

I find her wonderful, with a new kind of beauty, out of the ordinary.
